R H DACK - (BENNY)
Sadly the founder of Hall Green United (Benny) passed away last week following a short illness. Previously secretary of Painthorpe Albion FC and then Hall Green Athletic until their demise in 1969. Founded Hall Green United in June of 1969.
ANNUAL DINNER & DANCE
53 Members attended the Annual Dinner and Dance Prsentation evening held at Cedar Court Hotel on Saturday 16th June 2007. Guests for the evening were Club Sponsors, Chris and Amanda Laughton of Crime and Fire Protection, David Hargreaves -Secretary Of Wakefield and District FA- Lynne Dack - Kit Supervisor - Rhoda Burrows - Club Stewardess. Awards were presented to First Team: Player of Year Martin Scarth - Leading Goal Scorer Danny Empsall - Managers Player of Year Tom Marsden. Reserves: Player of Year Tom Burns - Leading goalscorer Nicky Leadbeater- Managers Player of the Year Matthew Leadbeater.
Presentations were also made for club achievements to past and present players and the Club Secretary S H Marsden was presented with a pocket watch for 30 years service as Club Secretary.
